There comes a time when you must stand alone. You must feel confident enough within yourself to follow your own dreams. You must be willing to make sacrifices. You must be capable of changing and rearranging your priorities so that your final goal can be achieved. Sometimes, familiarity and comfort need to be challenged. There are times when you must take a few extra chances and create your own realities. Be strong enough to at least try to make your life better. Be confident enough that you won’t settle for a compromise just to get by. Appreciate yourself by allowing yourself the opportunities to grow, develop, and find your true sense of purpose in this life. As you’ve probably noticed I haven’t posted much new on Blood and Fire. The story is still spilling out, but, in spurts. Also section 6 needs a major rewrite and I’ve stalled on that. You might say my mental state lately hasn’t been in line with new writing.

And there is Malakai. Mal thinks I’m portraying him rather harshly and is objecting my vilifying him. So, he is trying to reason his way out of the story. Pesky imaginary characters. He in particular. This aggravating, tyrannical freak of nature actually is stalling my progress so that I concentrate on him more. He thinks I need to add some background material on him. He thinks that without his history, he looks like a major ass. Personally, I think he is an ass. History and life experiences may have made him so, but that does mean he is in the right. I just write him how I see him. Then again, maybe I’m biased?

So, why not, I will indulge him. As long as he leaves my dreams and lets me sleep at night. Before moving forward I will go back a bit. Depending that is on what comes first. Hell, you never know, Rae or Demarion might get jealous next and start hounding me about future rewrites. Frikin imaginary characters. They always complicate everything…. Then again, these days, I think a distraction or two could be healthy.

BTW, thanks for your patience and for keeping in touch. I’m impressed so many are interested in the next installment. I promise, it is coming…

June 13th, 2008. My youngest niece, Zosia Miernik was baptized at St. Albert’s Church in San Jose. It was a joyous occasion for the whole family. Loves to my little niece…

Before rumor mill gets out of hand, I thought I’d make this announcement. Bill and I have broken off our relationship just a week before Valhalla. We wanted to keep it quiet through the run of the show. No point of stirring up an already rather restless event.

After eight years we’ve come to realization that our friendship, no matter how fervent, is just not enough to keep this relationship moving forward. Because we do care about each other, we both need to find our own happiness and answers to what we need / want, on our own.

The decision to break up was mutual. This relationship has always first and foremost been based on friendship. I think that’s why we’ve been able to hold to each other for such a long time, no matter the baggage, blatant interferences from other people, or things that drove us crazy about each other.

So as friends and business partners we’re moving forward. And I would not suggest that people not try to break that part up. Yes, Ren Prod is safe in Bill, Marti and Rellie trio. Anyhow… that’s about it… go, continue having fun…

I wanted to invite everyone to the second annual Ren Prod Picnic / Mixer. Last year’s event was a blast. We had a good number of guilds, vendors, and stage performers come out and play and mix with those we only see in garb most of the time.
